On 27th July, China-US Trade Relation and Asia Pacific Regional Economic Cooperation Roundtable hosted by CNCPEC was held in Beijing. 20 scholars from various think tanks and research institutes including Dr. Jeffrey Schott, Senior Research Fellow of Peterson Institute for International Economics (PIIE) participated in the roundtable. In the half-day roundtable, scholars had in-depth discussion on the issues related to the captioned theme and generally agreed that there was no winner in a trade war and China and the United States should respond rationally and resolve disputes through pragmatic consultations.
