During July 8-13, Amb. Su Ge, Chair of CNCPEC, led an experts group of Ministry of Foreign Affairs in visiting the United States. The group visited White House National Security Council, Department of State, US Congress, Chicago City Government and City Council, and thinktanks such as Brookings Institute, CSIS, Heritage Foundation, Hudson Institute, Peterson Institute for International Economy, Chicago Council for Global Affairs. Amb. Su Ge discussed China-US trade dispute, strategic direction of China-US bilateral relations, main issues in China-US relations and US domestic politics with hosts.

Chinese ambassador to the US Mr. Cui Tiankai, Minister Li Kexin and Chinese Consul General to Chicago Mr. Hong Lei met Amb. Su and the group respectively.
