From late September to early October, at the invitation of the School of International Studies of Nanyang Technological University, Amb. Su Ge went to Singapore for two weeks as a distinguished Rajaratnam professor.

Singaporean Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean met with President Su Ge. The two sides held cordial and friendly talks on international and regional situations and bilateral relations.

      In the " Rajaratnam Lecture", Amb. Su Ge delivered a lecture on "The International Structure and the History of Chinese Diplomacy", hosted by Ambassador Ong Keng Yong, and more than 100 people from various circles, including Singapore officials, schools, and businessmen attended the activity.

 Amb. Su was also invited to hold a lecture on "Globalization and China's Reform and Opening up" and "Working Together to Create a New Era of Economic Cooperation in Asia Pacific" and to conduct academic exchanges with a number of colleges and institutes of the National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University.

During his stay in Singapore, Amb. Su Ge visited the International Secretariat of the Pacific Economic Cooperation Council (PECC). The PECC International Secretariat is permanent in Singapore and President Su Ge serves as the Co-Amb. of PECC.

     Singaporean Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mr. Ng Teck Hean met with President Su Ge; Amb. Su Ge was also invited to the Singapore Defense Ministry for a visit and participated in the Singapore Asian news live program.
